Privacy Policy

ITD respects your privacy. This policy honestly describes how the current public media site handles information.

What we collect

  • Access logs: as a normal web server, we record IP address, timestamp, referrer, and user agent. This is for abuse detection and stable operation, retained for a fixed period then automatically deleted.
  • Account data: the media layer has no accounts, so we don't collect names or emails for registration.
  • Password leak check: only when you press the check button in the password strength tool, your browser sends the first 5 characters of the password's SHA-1 hash directly to Have I Been Pwned (api.pwnedpasswords.com), without passing through our server (the password itself is never sent). Have I Been Pwned receives those 5 characters and your IP address.
  • Dependency vulnerability scanner: the dependency list you paste is sent directly from your browser to OSV.dev (api.osv.dev) to be matched against known vulnerabilities, without passing through our server. OSV.dev receives the package names and versions and your IP address.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand and improve how the site is used. It uses cookies to collect aggregate statistics such as pages visited, time on page, and referrer. It does not collect personally identifying information.

You can disable measurement via your browser's cookie settings or Google's 'Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on'. Data is handled per Google's privacy policy.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We serve third-party ads via Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites.

You can turn off personalized ads at Google Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com); third-party cookie use and opt-outs are also covered at aboutads.info. For visitors from the EEA/UK, Google's consent framework applies.

Cloudflare Radar graphs (threat page)

The live threat page (/threats) embeds graphs from Cloudflare Radar. These embeds collect some usage metrics (such as page views) through Cloudflare Web Analytics. That data is handled under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
